Attack of the Winter Wookie

Last season, our snow crew declared our short snow season: "The Attack of the Winter Wookie". Don't ask us how we got the name but talking to Jimmy Pelletier and everyone drinking was involved somehow.

"The Winter Wookie" describes the winter in the Mid-Atlantic area. It is like Bigfoot or Paris Hilton not being on TV, only few people have ever seen it (or it feels that way). Depending on the year, we might get a flake or two or there is a too much to snow. Each year is a toss up and you have no idea what will happen till it's over. We have to thank global warming for that.

So a group of us decided to bring the 'Wookie' with us this last season and go snowboard in a few places we never have had a chance to before (nor anyone else in some cases). With the season off to a slow start in Mid-January, we had to become our own man-made Nor-Easter. Our DC pre-season session before the first snowfall was the start. Those summer-time snow dreams actually paid off finally. It was just 1 of our 3 street snow mission we got to take. We only got to film about 5 days total between everyone working, rapid snow melt, and those days you are all having so much fun you just leave the camera in the car. Our video is no Mack Dogg film, but we think it is not that shabby for how many days we filmed. Not bad for a bunch of guys having a good time.

I hope everyone enjoys the video and gets excited to go riding again. I know after watching the clip, I can't wait to get back on snow again. This year, hopefully, we pull out the camera a few more times. Who knows what we will call this season, but we know more good times are ahead (and more footage this time hopefully).
